Thanks for the mail. Just to say we had a very enjoyable stay at Finca losPinos. It was exactly the sort of rest we needed. After you dropped us at Nerja we picked up the rental car and put on some mileage. We drove around the Sierra Navada, visited Granada and even took a trip out as far as Almeria. The second week was certainly more hectic, and it made us appreciate how relaxed things were at Los Pinos.

We hope to return one day,

Our phone (and email) were out of order on our return. They just mended it today so I haven't been able to send a message until now.

Karim and I feel so relaxed and just had the most wonderful time in Spain. Karim always used to sit in the corner (near the washing line) and gaze at the mountains, every morning and every evening and many times during the day we just did more gazing at their splendour... I loved the palm trees and the many scents of the flowers.

It was very hard coming home, neither of us wanted to leave. And on Sunday I was extremely melancholy wandering around not knowing what to do, I had to make myself busy to keep the melancholy at bay.

Alhambra was beautiful. Very impressive, the drive was also very good and went through some spectacular scenery. It took us 2 hrs.

We all had a wonderful time thank you - Villa was gorgeous, fantastic location, it would have been nice to have longer as it was only towards the end of the week that we really started to feel our way around and find all the lovely places to go. So glad you didn't mind our noisy rabble - especially late at night upon returning to Villa ..! it seems to have become tradition, that everyone has to swim again (which of course means screaming!!) sorry did worry a bit on the last night.

You were fantastic hosts - everyone said that several times!

The children all loved it and it actually worked out really well with the three older girls using the log cabin, I think they quite liked heading off into the trees by themselves - thanks for that.

All round I think we have some lovely memories, food was brilliant and sooo reasonably priced - its a bit of shocker coming back home!! Lovely scenery, great coastline too it was almost a bit Southern California in places. It was a great last day treat to find the river on Friday as well. Can't wait to get back!!

Sorry I didn't catch you before we left last Friday however I trust you found the keys under the plant pot!

I wanted to let you know what a fabulous holiday we had..... I loved the villa, it was the best place I have stayed, with the most amazing views and Competa is just as good as I remember!

Thought I would drop you a quick line to say how much we enjoyed our holiday with your company at Villa Balcon de Mar – the view was stunning, Villa great, pool warm and a big bonus for the boys’ English TV!!

From the first email I sent enquiring about availability to you booking tickets to Alhambra you both were prompt with reply, efficient and professional and would have no hesitation in recommending Competa Holidays to our friends.

Really missing the evenings in Competa square, people watching with a large Gin and Tonic in hand – I am sure we will see you again!
